Global Heartcare Foundation Extends Support of Pediatric Heart Project Initiative in Ethiopia: February 2025

The Pediatric Heart Program Initiative (PHPI) in Ethiopia, in collaboration with the Global Heartcare Foundation and the Children’s Heart Fund of Ethiopia , has made significant strides in addressing heart diseases among children. Since the support from Global Heartcare Foundation began on July 1, 2024, the program has gained national recognition for its impactful work.

One of the key achievements includes the training of over 20 general pediatricians in echocardiography, enabling them to better diagnose and manage congenital and rheumatic heart diseases in children. These efforts not only increase the capacity of healthcare professionals but also directly contribute to improving the outcomes for children suffering from these conditions.

As the program continues to grow in scope and recognition, Global Heartcare Foundation has committed to extending its support until 2026, ensuring that this essential initiative continues to reach more communities and has a lasting impact on pediatric heart health in Ethiopia.
