Africa Cardiac Team Undergoes Advance Training in India
A team of multidisciplinary cardiac specialists from Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Uganda, including cardiologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and critical care experts is undergoing advanced training at the NH Institute of Cardiac Sciences in Bangalore, India. Sponsored by the Global Heart Foundation (GHF), this program offers hands-on experience with high-volume cardiac procedures, mentorship from leading experts, and a focus on team-based care for complex heart conditions. The goal is to equip these specialists with the skills and knowledge needed to improve cardiac care in their home countries.
This initiative reflects GHF’s broader mission to strengthen heart care capacity across Africa by investing in local talent and sustainable healthcare solutions. As these specialists return home, they will not only enhance patient care but also mentor future providers multiplying the impact for years to come.
